• The kitchen should be in the southeast direction or in the northwestern direction.
• It's highly recommended to face the east side of the kitchen while preparing food as it provides a lot of positive energy to the person.
• The water pipes, kitchen drain, washbasin, etc should be placed in the north or northeast direction. however, the overhead tanker should be in a different part of the house.
• The dining room should not be exposed to the main door of the house.
• Don't plan space for broom and mop in the kitchen.
• As per Kitchen Vastu Shastra, there has to be a proper balance between the elements of fire and water. therefore, one should not keep the fire and water, that is the washbasin and the cooking range (gas cylinder, oven, etc) on the same level of the platform or parallel to each other as it may create relationships between the family members.

• The cooking stove should be hidden from the outside.
• The window of the kitchen should open outward.
• To fight problems in your life, it is advised that the refrigerator be placed in the southwest direction as it helps in maintaining calmness in the kitchen. also, the grain storage place and other food stocks should be placed in the same direction for it provides wealth and good fortune.
• It is preferable to construct the kitchen in a way that the window faces north, east, or northeast direction.
• The refrigerator is in the southwest corner and the dishwasher is in the northwest corner.
• Cooking should be done facing east.
• Never put a mirror in the kitchen.

• Microwave (electric appliances) has to be in the southeast/south.
• Storage of food and eatable items has to be on the west or south of the kitchen.
• It is highly advised to place the kitchen in the southeast direction as it is affiliated with the lord of fire. even though this is the best direction to form your kitchen in the northwestern direction.
• Cleaning of utensils in the northwest.
• We plan the kitchen appliances according to the switchboard available but in reality, even appliances can be planned as per Vastu. the electric equipment like the microwave, toaster, etc. should be placed in the southeast or south side of the kitchen.
• The color of the kitchen should be chocolate, orange, red or yellow.
• The color of the floor and the walls of the kitchen may be yellow, orange, rose, chocolate, or red. however, as far as possible, the floors should not be black in color.

• The electric equipment like microwave, toaster, etc should be placed in the southeast or south side of the kitchen.
• The dining table in the kitchen should not have irregular shapes and sharp edges. it should be placed in the northwest corner of the kitchen. this helps maintain the good health of the people who stay in the house.
• If you have a clock in the kitchen, it should be hung on the south or southwest wall and the window and exhaust fan should be in the east direction.

Things To Avoid As Per Vastu :

1. The kitchen should not be placed in front, above, or below the bathroom.
2. It should also not be placed in front of the main door of the house.
3. The stove and sink should not be placed below the pooja room as it brings bad fortune.
4. The electric equipment should not be kept on the northeast side of the kitchen.
5. Like for every room, the door of the bathroom should not be kept opposite the kitchen.
