जहांगीर हिंदुस्तान का बादशा था। वह अपने इंसाफ के लिए मशहूर था। नूर-जहाँ ,जहांगीर की चहेती /प्यारी बेगम /WIFE थी। एक मर्तबा/बार नूर-जहाँ अपनी सहेली /FRIENDS के साथ जंगल में शिकार खेलने गई। जंगल में एक नदी /RIVER बेहति थी। नदी के किनारे एक धोबी कपडे धो रहा था। नूर-जहाँ ने एक हिरन को नदी के पास पानी पीते हुए देखा।इस ने हिरन की तरफ तीर का निशाना लिया और तीर छोड़ दिया। हिरन तो भाग गया लेकिन तीर बदकिस्मती से धोबी को लगा और वह मर गया। दूसरे दिन बेवा/विध्वा धोबन बादशा जहांगीर के दरबार में इंसाफ मांगने आ गई। इस ने बेगम नूर-जहाँ पर अपने सोहर /HUSBAND के कतल /MURDER का इल्ज़ाम लगाया। छान-बिन के बाद बादशा सारा मामला समझ गए। बादशा बड़ी मुश्किल में पड़ गया। एक तरफ बेगम थी , और दूसरी तरफ इंसाफ। बहोत गौर-ओ-फ़िकर के बाद आखिर इंसाफ की जीत हुई। बादशा ने धोबन के हाँथ में तीर कमान दिया और कहा जेसे मेरी बेगम ने तुम्हारे सोहर को मार के तुम को बेवा बना दिया वेसे ही तुम मुझे मार कर मेरी बेगम को बेवा बना दो। तुम बिला /बिना खोफ /FEAR मुझ पर तीर चला सकती हो। धोबन बादशा के इस इंसाफ पर हैरत-ज़दा /SHOOK हो गई और इस ने बेगम नूर-जहाँ के अनजाने में हुए इस गुनाह /CRIME को माफ़ कर दिया
